No Estimated Excess

We were surprised to learn about this practice, as it’s less common than some of the others, but can still have a serious impact on your expenses. Does your supplier estimate your volumes when they’re unable to (or don’t) obtain an actual meter reading from your equipment? In conjunction with not reconciling volumes, this can really increase the amount you’ll pay for printing that never happened.

If you’re regularly printing in excess of the minimums, and not paying close attention, you may receive an “Estimated” read for all or some or your equipment. If this fell in December for example, while the office is closed or quiet, you could be getting the regular higher bill for extra volume instead of the minimums.

The idea behind FairPrint is that we understand, manage and monitor your supplier’s billing with close attention to detail. This way you can take advantage of managed services, without being taken advantage of.
